Sealcoating should ideally be conducted during warm, dry conditions, with temperatures of at least 60°F and increasing. Ensure sufficient drying time between applications of sealer. Always adhere to the manufacturer’s guidelines for all products utilized. Verify that the sealer includes sand during application to enhance skid resistance and longevity.

Potholes are a pervasive reality in our daily lives, appearing on roads, parking lots, and even home driveways. They arise due to a variety of factors such as moisture damage, freeze-thaw cycles, pavement base failure, heavy traffic loads, among others. These hazards pose significant risks to both vehicles and pedestrians, leading to flat tires, bent rims, alignment problems, and in severe instances, auto accidents. Recent data reveals that potholes incur an astonishing annual cost of over $6 billion for American drivers.

The average expense for pothole repairs ranges from $35 to $50 per pothole. Additionally, there could be an initial mobilization fee of around $100 to $150 to deploy trucks and crew to the repair location. The size of the potholes and the materials chosen for repair also influence the overall cost. Generally, potholes are remedied using either cold-patch or hot asphalt (blacktop) materials.
